Rocket X 3
₹20,999 · choose a size
The Rocket X 3 is the race shoe HOKA wants you to train in too — a winged carbon plate embedded in dual-density PEBA foam gives it the propulsive, rockered ride of a proper racer, while a slightly more generous stack and durable outsole rubber let it survive an entire marathon build rather than just race day. The drop grew to 7mm for a more natural, less twitchy transition than the previous generation.
First Stride lists EU sizing as the primary scale, with UK equivalents on each size button. Running shoes should have a thumb's width of room at the toe — if you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wide feet should size up half in Asics and Nike.

Plate shape
Hoka Rocket X 3: Rocket X 3's winged carbon plate widens at the edges for extra stability through turns and tired late-race miles.
Xtep 160X 7.0 Pro: The 160X 7.0 Pro runs a straightforward full-length plate instead — a different design goal.
Traction
Hoka Rocket X 3: Rocket X 3's outsole is independently SATRA-tested for grip (0.57 coefficient).
Xtep 160X 7.0 Pro: The 160X 7.0 Pro doesn't publish an equivalent figure — a genuine wet-weather confidence edge for the Hoka.
Drop & weight
Hoka Rocket X 3: Rocket X 3's 10mm drop is the steepest of any race shoe on the site.
Xtep 160X 7.0 Pro: At 210g it's still 20g lighter than the 160X 7.0 Pro despite that taller heel.
