The second-generation MagMax NITRO keeps the supermax 46mm heel stack that made the original a daily-mileage favourite, but trims 15g off the weight and reworks the NITROFOAM compound for a noticeably springier, more energised feel underfoot. It is still the shoe to reach for on the days your legs want maximum cushioning without giving up all of their pop.
First Stride lists EU sizing as the primary scale, with UK equivalents on each size button. Running shoes should have a thumb’s width of room at the toe — if you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wide feet should size up half in Asics and Nike.
