The Nimbus has never been about speed, and the 28 doesn't pretend otherwise — it's ASICS' answer for runners who want to sink into a shoe rather than get launched off one. FF BLAST PLUS foam fills out a properly tall stack, and a PureGEL pod tucked into the rearfoot takes the edge off every heel strike without the dead-weight feel gel units used to carry. It's noticeably lighter than past Nimbus generations, but the ride is still unmistakably recovery-day: broad, forgiving and smooth through the transition rather than snappy off the toe.
First Stride lists EU sizing as the primary scale, with UK equivalents on each size button. Running shoes should have a thumb’s width of room at the toe — if you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wide feet should size up half in Asics and Nike.
