The Novablast has always been the shoe with a sense of humour in ASICS' lineup — round, rockered and eager to bounce you down the road — and the 6 leans back into that after a couple of generations that mellowed it out. The big change is a dual-density midsole: FF BLAST MAX does the bulk of the cushioning while a firmer FF TURBO² pod sits under the forefoot like a trampoline, giving toe-off a distinctly springier snap than the 5 had. The heel stays compliant and calm while the front half does the exciting stuff.
First Stride lists EU sizing as the primary scale, with UK equivalents on each size button. Running shoes should have a thumb’s width of room at the toe — if you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wide feet should size up half in Asics and Nike.
