The 1080 has been New Balance's go-to daily driver for over a decade, but v15 is the first time the formula's actually changed under the hood — Fresh Foam X is gone, replaced by a new supercritical Infinion compound that trades a little plush for a lot more pop. The result is a shoe that's dropped nearly an ounce and a half of dead weight while feeling noticeably livelier through toe-off, without losing the protective, go-all-day comfort the 1080 built its reputation on. It's still not trying to be fast — it's trying to disappear under your feet for 10 easy miles or 20.
First Stride lists EU sizing as the primary scale, with UK equivalents on each size button. Running shoes should have a thumb’s width of room at the toe — if you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wide feet should size up half in Asics and Nike.
